These glass and and porcelain insulators played a key role in the development of the telegraph, telephone, and electric power networks. Featured here are some of the best insulator resources on the web, and cover insulator clubs and shows, insulators for sale and trade, and individual collectors pages. Many of these sites are rich with colorful images or fascinating stories of collecting these historic gems. Please note that commerical sites attempting to join thiswill be rejected.
For example: Chicago Insulating Company - A site dedicated to the Chi. Ins. Co. that was in business in the 1880's and who distributed insulators made under the Fisk and Mott patent October 16, 1883.
